About Rebecca Rose
Hello and thanks for visiting my website! My name is Rebecca Rose and I am an award winning artist, an engineer, a mother, a lover of books, and of new ideas. I've had the honor of studying art independently in London, Paris, Rome, and most recently in Beijing, China's 798 Art District - China's most progressive artistic precinct - a hot spot of modern art, culture, and design.
I am passionate about each artwork I create, and I throw my whole self into each project! The juror of the TFAA Regional Painting Competition Exhibition stated about my artwork: "She exhibits artistic integrity and vision". Most recently I received an award from the Smithsonian museum for my photograph "Namaste", which was on display at the Ripley Center in the Smithsonian Mall in Washington, DC. I was selected as an exhibiting artist in the TFAA Regional Painting Competition Exhibition @mosaic in Fairfax, VA, where I received an award for my mixed media piece "Escape". I have been honored to showcase my artwork in galleries in New York City, Pittsburgh, PA, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC.
As human beings, we have the ability to continually transform and reinvent ourselves. In my life I wear many hats - artist, student, mother, engineer - no matter what hat I’m wearing, I strive to make every day, every moment count. To live my life with passion and purpose!
My goal is for my artwork to reflect this passion. To celebrate our planet's mysterious creatures, to create a sense of wonder. To celebrate what is human, to celebrate the marks people make on this world. To treasure the grand, and to treasure the small. To celebrate the every day, and the eccentric. To celebrate what is built from love, because love multiplies love.
